The finalists for the 2026 Southland Export Awards have been announced, showcasing the ambition, innovation and international potential of businesses from across the region.

The finalists represent a diverse range of Southland enterprises, from established exporters to emerging businesses preparing to take their products and ideas to international markets.

Export Southland Chair Jamie May said the calibre of this year’s applications demonstrated the depth of talent and determination within the region’s export community.

“Southland businesses have never let distance limit their ambition. These finalists are creating innovative products, entering new markets and building businesses capable of competing on the world stage,” May said.

“The judges were impressed by the quality of the applications and the diversity of the businesses represented. Being selected as a finalist is a significant achievement, and we are looking forward to sharing their stories and celebrating their success.”

“The Export Awards give us an opportunity to recognise that contribution and to celebrate the people who are putting Southland on the world map.”

The winners will be announced at the 2026 Export Gala – Southland to the World, held at Ascot Park Hotel in Invercargill on Friday 4 September.

Presented by Export Southland in partnership with DHL, the gala will feature Southland produce, entertainment from El Scratcho and inspiring stories from businesses making an impact on the world stage.

The Graham Dick Memorial Trophy will also be presented during the evening, recognising an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to export in Southland.
